Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SecureScope (the "Service"), operated by SecureScope (BRN: I20007127) ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and SecureScope. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
SecureScope is a security posture scanning service that identifies common security misconfigurations on websites and domains. The Service scans for HTTP security headers, SSL/TLS configuration, DNS security records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), network exposure, and WordPress misconfigurations, and generates reports with remediation guidance.
SecureScope is NOT:
- A vulnerability scanner or penetration testing tool
- A guarantee that your website or systems are secure
- A substitute for professional security assessment or advice
- Legal, compliance, or insurance advice
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. User Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. We strongly encourage enabling two-factor authentication (2FA). You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. User Obligations & Acceptable Use
You agree that you will:
- Only scan domains that you own or have explicit written permission to scan
- Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws
- Not use the Service to attack, harm, or disrupt any system
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's source code
- Not scrape, overload, or otherwise interfere with the Service's infrastructure
- Not resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
You acknowledge that scanning domains you do not own or have permission to scan may violate computer misuse laws. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to scan any domain you submit.
6. Subscription Plans & Payment
6.1 Plans
SecureScope offers Free, Pro, and Business subscription tiers. Each plan has specific limits on the number of domains, scans, and features available. Plan details and pricing are displayed on the billing page.
6.2 Payment Methods
Paid subscriptions are billed via direct bank transfer or other payment methods we may offer. Payment instructions are provided on the billing page and on your invoice. Your subscription becomes active once payment is received and confirmed.
6.3 Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. You are responsible for ensuring timely payment. If payment is not received within 7 days of the due date, we may suspend your access to paid features until payment is received.
6.4 Price Changes
We may change subscription fees at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect. Existing subscribers will be charged the new rate at the start of their next billing cycle after the notice period.
6.5 Taxes
You are responsible for any applicable taxes (including VAT, sales tax, or similar) in your jurisdiction. SecureScope is not registered for VAT unless stated otherwise on your invoice.
7. Refund Policy
All subscription payments are non-refundable. SecureScope is a digital software-as-a-service product. Upon subscription, you gain immediate access to all features included in your plan. Due to the digital nature of the Service, all payments are final and non-refundable.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation. No partial or prorated refunds will be issued for the remaining billing period.
For EU consumers:
By subscribing to SecureScope, you explicitly request that we begin providing the digital content during the 14-day withdrawal period and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. This means the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to your SecureScope subscription.
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at hello@rambarun.com within 7 days of the charge. We will review your case in good faith.
8. Cancellation & Termination
8.1 Cancellation by You
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until then.
8.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in conduct that could harm us or other users. We may also terminate the Service for any reason with 30 days' notice.
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, after which it will be permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records retained for 5 years per Mauritius law).
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, scanning engine, report templates, and documentation, is owned by SecureScope and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own business or personal use during your subscription.
You retain all rights to the domain data and scan results generated for your account. You may download and use your reports for your own purposes. You may not remove branding from generated reports without our written consent.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Scan results will be accurate, complete, or up to date
- The Service will detect all security issues on your domains
Security scanning is indicative, not definitive. A clean scan does not mean your systems are secure. You should not rely solely on SecureScope for your security posture. Always consult a qualified security professional for comprehensive assessment.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureScope shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. If you have not paid anything (Free tier), our liability is limited to USD 10.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecureScope from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your scanning of domains you do not own or have permission to scan.
13. Privacy & Data Protection
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017.
14. Service Modifications
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation and, if unresolved, through mediation before commencing litigation.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SecureScope regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
